The following images are a collection of pattern, texture, placement and materiality through the perfections and imperfections of the natural and built environment.

Site Reflection
After
the initial site visit a few ideas and concepts came to mind.
Once
you access the site from the street level you are faced with buildings, these being
modest old heritage brick buildings. They have been restored for the current
uses of today and are amalgamated with new additions, materials and structures,
forming new architectural spaces.
The
contrast of structures allowed me to explore the finer details, the buildings
meeting points, details and different uses of materials and construction types
through the ages.
I
chose to analyse details, texture and materiality through imagery and sketches.
Through
this analysis I discovered the dilapidation of the site and its structures also
emphasising the extravagant and long history through the ever-fading details.
The
next element I came across traveling through the site is the flawless views defining
the astonishing location, there is a sense of journey.
There
are glimpses of the habour views and green space but nothing is definite from
the start of the journey.
-Study
Circulation and view points
It
is a large-scale site on the foreshore of Sydney Harbour with the natural environment
in regeneration. The architecture is entwined with the native flora and the
site has recently been updated with new landscape architectural designs
structuring the different level changes throughout the site.
I
am excited to transform the site and explore movement, aspect, prospect shaping
the environment and the site to create memorable spaces for the community and
visitors.
